Hoya Kerrii Care Guide
Hoya Kerrii |
After a few Hoya Kerrii killing spree I finally read that they do not like too much water. If there is a dryness scale in Hoya world, then this hoya is on the far end. It thrives on neglects, and I only water it when the leaves became wrinkly (around 8 to 11 days).
Regular (green) Kerrii is less finicky that the variegated one. It is also one of the hoya that I always avoid misting. The leaves a bit "rotting" and sometimes dropped with regular misting unless provided with good air circulation.
Only bright indirect light, shaded. too much light may causing sunspots on the leaves.
Conclusion:
Rules for Hoya Kerrii
1. Less watering (only when very dry)
2. No Misting, leaves may rot
2. Bright Indirect Light
I have conduct two propagation method:
1. Water propagation: I have problem trying to reduce the stress from transplanting to soil.
2. Semi Hydro: A week setback as I transplant to soil, now it has been in soil for a month and still looking ok and not dropping any leaf.
3. Propagation box: TBA
